250 Bypass to Riverbend Drive in Pantops; turn south onto Riverbend Dr. (towards Pantops Shopping Center). Go one block to the light at S. Pantops Drive, do a U-turn. Turn right into the parking lot of First Med. Patricia’s office is on the side of the First Med Building. Enter through the glass door and take the stairs to the 2nd floor.

Dr. Patricia Martin has a Master's degree in School Psychology and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of South Florida, where her main areas of research were motivation and neuropsychology. At USF she worked in a variety of clinical and academic settings, teaching courses in development psychology, psychopathology, and neuropsychology, and supervising graduate students in psychotherapy and psychological assessment.

She moved to Charlottesville to serve as Director of the Center for Clinical Psychology Services at the University of Virginia, and entered private practice in 1996.
 
Although she has found great satisfaction in all of her professional experiences, nothing has been as richly rewarding to her as her work with couples. It has compelled her to change the focus of her career. She continues to move away from pathology and more deeply into the work of helping people identify the personal strengths and potentials they can use to build stronger, more fulfilling relationships.
